All our steel frames are from Reynolds Tubing. Steel is a considerably more comfortable ride than any aluminium bike. For effective cost savings the frames are built in Taiwan but finishing touches are delicately placed back in Britain - Extra braze ons and the paint finish which is rich in colour and covered in a glossy hard wearing clear lacquer.
There's every necessary Braze On including hidden front and rear mudguard fittings, three bottle cage mounts, low rider rack mounts on the fork, rear rack mounts, pump peg on left hand seat stay and dynamo braze on to front fork.
Cable routing is clean and tidy thanks to headtube runners so the cables don't rub against the paint work and curved cantilever brake cable mount at the rear.
Although the frames are not "made to measure" we spend the time and care to fit each bike to the individual customers sizing needs, ensuring a proper position for superb comfort. With plenty of headset spacers, that perfect touring position can be easily honed and you can quickly change the cockpit for different tasks.

The Ghyllside Expedition is a no compromise robust touring frame with strong and rigid 26" wheels.
The frame and fork are constructed to exacting standards using reynolds 631 chromoly steel for the main tubes and the more heavy duty 520 tubing for the chain stays, seat stays and forks. This combination gives a forgiving comfortable ride without sacrificing strength.

Ghyllside 725 whether for long tours, daily commutes or fun day rides is an ideal frameset! It is light and resilient for top quality riding.
The frame on the Ghyllside 725 is manufactured using the top of the range reynolds 725 tubing (one of the best tubing sets available for touring on the market today). The forks are made from reynolds 531 tubing with an investment cast crown. The stainless steel investment cast dropouts are polished to a high finish (like chrome). This eliminates the problem of paint chipping when removing wheels.
