First we start with a chat to establish what you are wanting from your new wheels. We match various rims and hubs from a range of manafacturers, usually laced together with Sapim spokes.

Hubs from Hope, DT Swiss, Chris King, Bitex, Shimano, Rohloff, Kindernay, Shutter Precision, Son and many more.
We offer a hand built wheel building service catering for most purposes and requirements. Our wheels have been proved around the globe on intercontinental tours and racing events.
There is more to a wheel than how light it is. When we are wheel building weight is not our first consideration, what does matter is the individuals weight, riding style and riding discipline.

Spoke Selection
Wheels can be laced using different numbers of spokes to influence their strength, weight, and ride quality. The more spokes used, the more the load is spread and the stronger the wheel should be.
Spoke options
- Plain gauge—40p per spoke (silver)
Constructed from stainless steel and often used to build wheels where weight-saving is not an issue. They are slightly heavier than double-butted and offer a slightly stiffer ride because of their thicker cross section. - Double butted—£1.00 per spoke
We build with Sapim Race spokes. These are lightweight spokes that are thinner in the middle (going from 2mm to 1.8mm and back to 2mm again) to save weight and reduce ride stiffness without compromising on wheel strength. Ideal for long distance wheelset and for those wanting comfort on poor road surfaces. - Aero bladed— £3.25 (black) per spoke
These have a flattened cross-section to reduce wind resistance. Suited to time-trial bikes and wheelsets intended for racing. We build with Sapim CX-Ray.
We aim to have all booked wheel builds completed within 48hours.
Yes, if you are wanting to reuse a rim, from an existing wheel. There is a de-lace charge of £5.00 – £10.00 per wheel as each spoke requires careful de-tensioning rather than being cut out which can buckle the rim.
Yes, build labour is £35.00 for standard three-cross. Radial, two-cross and carbons rims have a higher build cost as labour time is higher.
We recommend you do not supply your own spokes, as we will measure and lace the wheel to ensure the correct length of spoke is selected.
No, it is included if all the wheel parts are purchased from us.
