The Bay Cycle Way, National Cycle Route 700, is an 80 mile route from Walney Island to Glasson Dock. It runs around Morecambe Bay, through fascinating scenery, wildlife and history. It’s mainly on quiet roads, but with some tracks and paths, and much of it is pretty flat (though there is one big hill). So it makes an ideal introduction to cycle touring, and to exploring this fascinating corner of north west England. But it’s great for more experienced cyclists too. And there are loads of cracking bakeries along the route!
The Bay Cycle way was published in autumn 2017 and contains
- Complete route descriptions
- 1:50,000 OS maps
- Information on points of interest
